How to choose the right electric vehicle model?

Regardless of the product you choose, it’s recommended to consider several important technical and practical aspects before purchasing:

•    battery capacity (Ah) – determines how many kilometers you can travel on a single charge;

•    range (km) – typically ranges from ~20 to 100 km or more;

•    motor power (W) – important for climbing hills and riding with a load or on more challenging terrain;

•    top speed (km/h) – depending on the model, can reach approximately 15–45 km/h or more;

•    Safety, comfort, and practicality – an adjustable seat, storage compartments, a canopy, lighting, and useful accessories – for safe and comfortable operation.

•    Maximum permissible load – indicates the structure’s load-bearing capacity and operational capabilities.

Electric Vehicle Tax Relief Options

When purchasing a product of a specific type and technical specifications with a disability certificate or by submitting a doctor’s note (Form No. 027/A), you can take advantage of a reduced 5% VAT rate! You can also purchase the product you like with APVA support. Starting January 16, 2024, with APVA support in effect—by trading in a polluting vehicle, you can recover a portion of the funds for a newly purchased:

•    €500 compensation for an unregistered electric vehicle (up to 2 units may be purchased—compensation will total €1,000);

•    €1,000 compensation for a registered electric vehicle.

People with mobility impairments can take advantage of the compensation option through the Technical Assistance Devices Center (TPPC). More information about purchase assistance and compensation can be found here.
