Need to registration

Scooters, tricycles, quadricycles and mopeds - powerful and fast electric vehicles - are registered.
These models have motors of more than 1,000 watts and can reach speeds of more than 25 km/h, making them suitable for use on public roads.
These scooters meet all EU safety and quality requirements. It is therefore possible to register them and obtain boat licence plates. They are subject to compulsory third party liability insurance.

These vehicles are extremely popular with consumers looking for a safe, reliable and comfortable solution for their daily journeys.
Many models are equipped with advanced safety features such as EABS brakes, LED lighting and high-capacity LI-on batteries. In addition, they are ideal not only for private use, but also for business applications such as delivering goods or food.

From 16 January 2024, you can get a partial refund for an electric three-wheel or four-wheel scooter/scooter, once the APVA support is in place (if you add a polluting car):

- €1,000 reimbursement for a registered scooter.
