Electric scooters – more convenience for everyday travel

This micro-transport vehicle is becoming a popular choice for people seeking a comfortable, economical, and eco-friendly way to get around in the city and beyond. This mode of travel allows you to reach your destination faster and reduce transportation costs.

Since this scooter is powered by electricity, it operates quietly, does not pollute the environment, and has lower maintenance costs than gasoline-powered models. Thanks to its compact size and easy handling, it’s perfect for commuting to work, school, or the store.

The products offered by Riedis.lt are easy to charge, technically sound, and safe to use. For those looking for a reliable vehicle for short trips or outings, an electric scooter can become a practical part of your mobility.

Why choose an electric scooter?

Electric scooters are gaining significant consumer interest not only in Lithuania but around the world. For those considering a purchase, here are the main advantages of this choice:

•    Simpler maintenance. Electric scooters have a somewhat simpler design, with fewer moving parts and no particularly complex components, so breakdowns are rarer and maintenance is easier.

•    Lower energy costs. Charging is significantly cheaper than fuel. For daily commuting, this can significantly reduce transportation costs.

•    A more eco-friendly choice. More and more European cities are encouraging the use of electric micromobility. It produces no CO₂ emissions or other harmful exhaust gases—helping to reduce air pollution.

•    Convenience in an urban environment. Modern models are compact, easy to handle, and maneuverable—ideal for navigating city streets. They are designed to be driven even by drivers with little experience.

•    A quieter and more comfortable ride. The electric motor operates much more quietly. This reduces environmental noise. The quiet operation of the motor also ensures comfort for the driver—making trips calmer and less tiring.

•    Convenient charging. The ability to charge the scooter by plugging it into a standard electrical outlet in your yard, garage, or near work provides greater flexibility and allows you to plan your routes without hassle.

Over the past few years, electric micro-transport has become a serious alternative to gasoline-powered models. This is not a passing fad, but a rational and practical choice.

Electric scooter lineup: what to choose?

In our online store, you’ll find a wide selection of different types and models. Browse the available options—we’re confident you’ll find the one that best suits your individual needs.

Electric city scooters

These are compact and lightweight vehicles designed for daily city travel. They offer excellent maneuverability, low energy consumption, and easy handling, making them ideal for short distances and convenient, faster travel.

More powerful electric scooters

Characterized by greater range and speed—the optimal choice for longer trips and more intensive use. They feature a slightly more durable construction, more powerful motors, and higher-capacity batteries. They can be used not only in the city but also on suburban roads.

Electric choppers

Stand out for their distinctive design and motorcycle-like construction. They typically have a longer frame, wider wheels, and a lower seating position, which ensures a comfortable, relaxed posture and a more stable and smooth riding experience. Technical specifications can be similar to both city scooters and more powerful models.

Three-wheeled electric scooters

Three-wheeled electric scooters offer greater stability thanks to their three-wheel design, which ensures better traction on the road surface. They allow you to easily cover the necessary distances or climb hills without significant physical effort—a great alternative to a bicycle. Suitable for users of all ages, but particularly appreciated by seniors and people with limited mobility.

Electric scooters with a cabin

This is a more enclosed solution, whose design and appearance resemble mini-cars. The cabin protects the rider from adverse weather conditions, so these models can be used year-round, regardless of the weather. They often have a more powerful engine, can travel longer distances, and offer a wider range of functional capabilities.

Passenger / Cargo Scooters

Thanks to their higher maximum load capacity and wider design, they are ideal for carrying extra cargo or passengers. Reinforced suspension and rear shock absorbers help smooth out the ride on uneven roads—ensuring greater comfort even when carrying extra weight. They can be adapted not only for personal use but also for business needs.

Electric scooters with a roof

They feature a special protective structure that offers protection from the sun, rain, or wind. Often equipped with a windshield or additional elements, such as a side awning. A practical choice for those who plan to use the vehicle more intensively in various weather conditions.

Registered and unregistered models—what should you know?

All electric scooter models sold by Riedis.lt meet European Union safety and quality requirements and are approved for use on public roads. Depending on their technical specifications, they can be classified as registered or unregistered.

Electric scooters with a motor power of up to 1,000 W and a maximum speed not exceeding 25 km/h are non-registrable. They may be used by individuals aged 14 and older, provided they comply with the traffic rules applicable to cyclists.

Meanwhile, more powerful scooters capable of higher speeds must be registered. In such cases, the vehicle must be registered, bear license plates, and be covered by mandatory liability insurance. In addition, the driver must hold a driver’s license of the appropriate category.

Who is an electric scooter best suited for?

It is a fairly versatile vehicle, suitable for various purposes and people of different ages, but it is best suited for the following cases:

•    city dwellers – for short daily trips to avoid traffic jams and find parking more easily;

•    students and young people – looking for an economical way to get to classes or work;

•    seniors or people with limited mobility – who value safety, greater independence, and freedom of movement;

•    suburban residents – for running daily errands, going to the store, the market, the garden, or the city center;

•    For business needs - such as service work, the tourism sector, grounds maintenance, transporting small loads, or food delivery.

This is a smart choice for anyone seeking an economical and eco-friendly transportation alternative.

How to choose the most suitable electric scooter model?

The best electric scooters are those chosen rationally, after assessing individual needs, planned distances, as well as practical and technical features.

When choosing, it is recommended to consider the following aspects:

•    Battery capacity (Ah). This indicates how much energy the battery can store, and therefore directly determines the distance you can travel on a single charge.

•    Range (km). Typically ranges from ~20 to 100 km or more, depending on battery capacity, riding speed, road surface, and load.

•    Motor power (W). Important for acceleration, climbing hills, and stable operation—especially when carrying a passenger or additional cargo.

•    Top speed (km/h). Depending on the model, it can reach about 20–45 km/h or more. It is important to consider daily routes and intended use.

•    Safety and comfort. The braking system, LED lighting, adjustable seat, canopy, storage compartment, and additional accessories contribute to a more comfortable ride.

•    Maximum permissible load (kg). Indicates the total weight the vehicle’s structure can support, including the driver, passenger, or additional cargo.

•    Charging time. Typically, this ranges from 6 to 12 hours, so consider how often the vehicle will be used.

•    Legal requirements. The scooter’s power and maximum speed determine whether the vehicle needs to be registered, and whether a driver’s license and insurance are required.
